Oz Leasing, which revolutionized car shopping with its innovative all-online leasing process, has opened a “virtual showroom” in Downtown Hollywood, where customers receive personal attention without the stress and pressure of the traditional dealership experience.
Oz Leasing CEO Michael Osturkan founded the company, which also deals in hassle-free auto sales and purchases and yacht charters, in 2014 and launched the online leasing system a year ago. It is distinguished by its modern technology and streamlined process with no sales commissions, no haggling, minimal paperwork and the most competitive price possible on any make or model through Oz Leasing’s huge nationwide dealer network.
The nearly 3,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility in Downtown Hollywood, which opened April 1 at 2005 Harrison St., offers the same fast and easy online process but with an in-person customer service feature added.
Oz Leasing associates –non-commission-driven car experts – greet customers, take their beverage order on an iPad and are available to answer any questions, help customers interact with the system, and explain options and terms.
“We believe in a stress-free work environment,” Osturkan said. “Nobody here is trying to sell you a car. We’re just trying to put you in the right one.”
Following a brief orientation, the customer browses a catalog of vehicles on a 55-inch screen and chooses the desired make and model, exterior and interior colors, preferred annual mileage, down payment and terms, and applies for financing. Oz Leasing’s unique system automatically finds the best deal on any make or model. Vehicles can be scheduled for home, office or in-store delivery.
Oz Leasing, which calls itself “the Amazon of cars,” is bringing “a Silicon Valley technology kind of vibe to Downtown Hollywood,” Osturkan said.
The virtual showroom is hardly all business. Oz Leasing makes sure the car shopping experience is an enjoyable one.
“We’ve created a fun and friendly environment to take away the pressure of buying a car at the dealership,” Osturkan said. “With cotton candy machines, ping-pong tables and some of the best coffee from around the world, we strive to truly make this an unforgettable and fun experience for all of our customers.”
The historic downtown arts, music and entertainment district was chosen as Oz Leasing’s new home because of its “artsy, younger generation feel,” Osturkan said. “Downtown Hollywood is an up-and-coming area, and we just thought we would grow with the neighborhood.”
Oz Leasing’s virtual showroom is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
